Susie Benchasil Seiter is a prolific conductor and orchestrator of film, television, video games and concerts. She hails from Baltimore where her early interests in choir and piano gave roots to her now thriving career in the music industry. Susie calls Los Angeles her home where she lives with her husband, composer Chad Seiter.
Susie began her career assisting Hollywood composers and working at Disney’s department of music preparation. She is best known for orchestrating the wildly popular tours “The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses” and “Pokémon Symphonic Evolutions” which combined, have been performed more than 200 times by some of the world’s most respected orchestras. Along with the concerts, Susie has worked along side her husband Chad, conducting and orchestrating his music to one of history’s most popular franchises: the “Star Trek” Video game and last year’s “Lego Jurassic World.” Last year, she orchestrated music for Universal’s blockbuster film “Minions” and Guillermo Del Toro’s “Crimson Peak.” She also co-orchestrated the popular video game “Assassin’s Creed Syndicate” which was recorded at the infamous Abbey Road Studios. Last year Susie conducted over 50 orchestras, including the Royal Philharmonic at the Apollo Hammersmith and the Sydney Symphony at the Sydney Opera House. She also hosted and conducted the Orlando Philharmonic’s inaugural season at The Dr. Phillips Center with “Pixar in Concert.”
Most recently, Susie orchestrated the Sony Pictures feature “Patient Zero” and is currently orchestrating and preparing to conduct Microsoft’s major game release “Recore” which will record at AIR studios in London in May. Susie takes pride in her contributions as a conductor and orchestrator because she believes that orchestral music should be shared and celebrated by all generations.
